The Chief of Staff today (Saturday) held a situation assessment in the northern Gaza Strip, together with the Commander of the Southern Command, Major General Yaron Finkelman, the Commander of Division 162, Brigadier General Itzik Cohen, and other commanders.

A moment before: When you go to the polls – remember to check this. Don't forget!

""Look, we are making a move to deepen our achievement. There are areas we have already been to, and we are returning with better intelligence and making an achievement that is much higher and much deeper, literally, both into the ground, also in hitting the enemy. There are places we have passed through at a very high combat pace, and we are returning to places to clear an area at a very, very high level.

""These things bring another level of operatives, another level of commanders, another destruction of infrastructure.".

The Chief of Staff referred to the negotiations on the hostage deal: "We are also in the midst of negotiations on the release of the hostages. I can't say where it will develop. There are those who are dealing with it, we are dealing with fighting.".

When are the municipal elections? Where can I find out if I am registered on the voter register?

""I want you to know one thing - there is a connection between these things. Your achievements - another battalion that you are disbanding, another underground infrastructure, another neighborhood where the infrastructure is being destroyed, and the population that is being evacuated to safe spaces - all of these things together are pushing us, I very much hope, towards an achievement regarding the release of the kidnapped.".

""This is a war goal, we intend to do a great deal to realize it, and the fighting effort is the most effective action that helps those who are pushing and negotiating in all sorts of places for the release of the hostages. This is the lever we are bringing down on Hamas, and you are bringing it down excellently. We need to continue bringing it down hard, I hope we will be able to translate it into the release of the hostages as well.".
