Two IDF soldiers were killed in an anti-tank attack west of Khan Yunis: Lt. Col. Adi Eldor, 21, from Haifa, a soldier in the Maglan Unit, Commando Brigade; and Lt. Col. (res.) Alon Kleinman, 21, from Tel Aviv, a reserve soldier in the Maglan Unit, Commando Brigade.

In addition, two soldiers from the Maglan unit were seriously injured in combat in the southern Gaza Strip, and a reservist from the Bnei Or Detachment (460) was seriously injured in a car accident in southern Israel. The soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital and their families have been notified.

Since the beginning of the war, 566 IDF soldiers have been killed, including 229 since the start of the ground maneuvers in the Gaza Strip.

Alon Kleinman, MD, is the son of Prof. Guy Kleinman, director of the ophthalmology department at Wolfson Hospital.

The hospital issued a eulogy: "The Wolfson family mourns and grieves the untimely death of a hero of Israel, the beloved son of Prof. Guy Kleinman, director of the hospital's ophthalmology department.

""Alon, may his memory be blessed, a fighter in the Magellan patrol, was killed in the fierce battles in Khan Yunis while fighting for the State of Israel and the security of its residents. May his memory be blessed.".

Adi Eldor is the son of Dr. Liron Eldor, a physician at Rambam Hospital, and the grandson of Prof. Yosef Itzkowitz, who was a senior department director at Rambam and a pioneer in the field of fertility and stem cell research in Israel.

Prof. Mickey Halbertal, Director of the Rambam Medical Center, offered a eulogy: "The Rambam family received with great sadness this morning the terrible news of the death in battle of the late Adi Eldor, a Magellan fighter. The news of the death of the late Adi, son of Dr. Liron Eldor, a Rambam physician, and grandson of Prof. Yosef Itzkowitz, who was a senior department director at Rambam and the father of the field of fertility and stem cell research in Israel, breaks our hearts.".

Eldor is a graduate of the Haifa Reali School. He is the school's 12th casualty since the outbreak of the war, and the second to fall from the same class that also lost Major General Amit Peled, who fell on October 7th.

Dr. Liron Eldor, Adi Ya'd's father, said on Galei Tzahal: "All the fighters see before their eyes are the kidnapped, trying to reach them. You see that things are finally succeeding, and on the other hand, you don't sleep all night and cry for your treasure, your jewel.".

Prof. Guy Kleinman, Alon's father, told Channel 13 this morning: "He and his twin brother Erez were evacuated on October 7, and since then they have sometimes fought together in Gaza. We talked to them a little, they didn't go out much either.

""Last Saturday, Alon came home and suddenly told and shared about the things he went through there, it was surprising. They keep saying that we lost the best, it's a cliché, but Alon really was the best for me. Smart, modest with lots of plans for the future. He was released from the military during the war but wasn't willing to leave his team and stayed there. He dreamed of flying and studying electrical engineering.".

The parents of Adi Eldor, the Rev., sought to stop the poison within the people. The father, Dr. Liron, said: "The message I wanted to convey and I hope it will resonate on all networks, even those that are less fond of bringing this message, is the kidnapped. Our children are fighting because they think this is a just war. Our children are being killed because they think this is a just war. Our children are being killed for the kidnapped.".

The mother added to his words that the war was not intended to locate "another terrorist or another weapon.".

Liron continued by saying that the families who lived in the envelope and were kidnapped "live there because the state sent them, the soldiers served there because we sent them. They didn't go there to party. Even having fun at a party is allowed in the State of Israel. We need to bring them back, so that no soldier, soldier, kidnapped, victim of this horror, will be in vain.

""We received great news today about two who were able to be rescued. We must continue with all our strength, with all negotiations.".

He cried out: "Not to divide, not to slander world leaders, that is our duty. We need to strengthen everyone who can. After they return, we will settle accounts with whoever you want. After they return, not on their backs.".

He asked: "Leave Twitter, leave the poison, they are good people, they are people who deserve to return home. We cannot abandon them. They are not a burden. Neither the civilians nor the soldiers. The soldiers need to be returned. The fact that they had ranks and were in military service does not reduce our responsibility.".
