Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is responding to Hamas' demand to stop the war in Gaza, as a condition for resuming negotiations - and announced this evening (Thursday) that the war will continue until the terrorist organization is eliminated.
“"We are fighting until victory," Netanyahu said. "We will not stop the war until we complete all of its goals - the complete elimination of Hamas, and the release of all our hostages.".
He added: "The choice I offer Hamas is very simple: surrender or die. They have no other choice and will have no other choice. After we eliminate Hamas, I will work with all my might to ensure that Gaza no longer poses any threat to Israel. Neither Hamastan nor Fatahstan.".
The chairman of the national camp, Minister Benny Gantz, also stated today in the south, after conducting operational situation assessments in Division 98 and Division 36 and visiting the Enrichment Path: "The operation in Gaza continues and the attack on Hamas is deepening, and it will continue deep in the area and in various stages.".
He added: "There is no intention to stop the fighting until we return our hostages and change the reality in the south and the north. Hamas's refusal to release those held captive after more than 70 days - the elderly, the sick and women, while risking their lives - is further proof that the Hamas threat must be removed. This is proof that Hamas is as bad as ISIS, and its leaders and people deserve death. To remove this threat - we will continue to fight until we achieve our goals.".
""Hamas' presence also causes severe harm to the residents of Gaza. Whoever did not spare its residents while they were sleeping in luxury hotels, whoever uses them to survive – is a war criminal. It will take as long as it takes. We will fight, and we will win.".
