The terrorist who murdered a father and son in Huwara was captured in Jenin, 5 terrorists were eliminated, 21 were arrested

In a joint operation by the Shin Bet and the IDF last night (Sunday) in the Jenin refugee camp, reserve soldiers arrested Osama Bani Fadel, originally from the village of Aqraba near Nablus - the suspect in the double murder attack in Huwara in August in which Sayals-Shay Nigarkar and his son Aviad Nir were murdered. Osama, a Hamas terrorist, was arrested based on precise Shin Bet intelligence information, while armed in a hideout in the Jenin refugee camp. Tonight, for the first time under the command of the 646th Reserve Brigade, IDF and Border Guard reserve fighters, based on intelligence from the Military Intelligence and Shin Bet, operated in an operation to thwart terrorism in the Jenin refugee camp. During the operation, engineering vehicles uncovered explosives under and on the sides of the road that were intended to harm our forces. The fighters exchanged fire with the terrorists and killed five of them. Additional terrorists were wounded, and 21 wanted terrorists were arrested. After extensive searches, two weapons, a large amount of ammunition, explosives, military equipment, and two observation posts that were following our forces were located and confiscated. In addition, aircraft attacked an armed terrorist squad that endangered our forces. Several terrorists who were injured in the airstrike were arrested by the fighters and transferred to the security forces for further investigation. At the end of the operation Intelligence information was received, following which the forces tracked a vehicle containing suspects who had left the Jenin refugee camp. At the end of the tracking, the forces caught them and arrested three more wanted terrorist operatives.
