Maran HaRav Lando sent a letter of condolences today (Monday) to the family of his childhood friend, Rosh Yeshiva Ateret Yisrael HaRav Ezrachi, zt"l, who passed away last Thursday at the age of 94.
""To the descendants of my friend, my friend of youth, the great Gaon, the splendor of virtues, known for his fame and glory, for the greatness of his scholarship and his sublime deeds in spreading Torah and in providing generations with legions of students and listeners to the teachings of Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi, of blessed memory,
And to his rabbinical brothers, the wise men, and to all the noble family and those who accompany them,
I very much wanted to come to comfort you in your heavy grief and the magnitude of your grief, but I was unable to fulfill my desire, and I will send my condolences in writing.
"The place will comfort you among the rest of the mourners of Zion in Jerusalem, and in the comfort of Zion you will be comforted, and you will continue the great legacy that He has bequeathed to you.".
