Jewish communities in Ukraine are preparing for the month of holidays: While the difficult war in the country continues, community rabbis and Chabad emissaries are currently organizing for the month of holidays, making great efforts to preserve tradition and community cohesion, despite the situation.

This year, for the first time, it was decided at JRNU - the rescue center for Chabad emissaries in the country, to produce most of the holiday products in Ukraine, in special factories that were trained in advance.

For example, in recent days a special factory for the production of pure honey was trained. In addition, meat and poultry slaughtering factories were trained.
Next week, large aid trucks will set off for the dozens of Jewish communities scattered throughout Ukrainian cities, and huge pallets of food products will be unloaded at the foot of the Jewish centers - and from there they will be transported to the Jews of the communities, through an orderly and respectful distribution system.
The list of food products, alongside poultry, meat and honey, includes dairy products, honey cakes from Israel, honey cakes made in the city of Zafrozhye, canned goods and various spreads.

Each food package also includes accessible and spectacular informational brochures in the local language about the holiday months, as well as a unique calendar that combines Jewish content and pictures.
Jewish communities in Ukraine are expecting record levels of Jewish participation in synagogues and holiday activities this year. "We are preparing for a record number of worshippers in synagogues and holiday activities," said one Chabad delegate. "After more than a year and a half of war, we will all pray that the new year will be calm and peaceful.".
