Six new defibrillators were launched at the Ihud Hatzalah branch in Bnei Brak. The new devices were donated to commemorate the children of the Gross family, who perished in the pest control disaster in their home in Jerusalem nine months ago.
Before the ceremony, members of the branch management and the organization's management, led by Rabbi Aryeh Dvir, one of the organization's rabbis, and Rabbi Yeshayahu Karelitz, secretary of the organization's rabbinical committee, entered the home of the Rebbe of Muzinitz at the Vizhnitz Hasidic Center, to receive blessings for the new year and the success of the charity activities in the city.
Afterwards, the volunteers gathered in the new Beit Midrash at the Ichud Hatzalah Bnei Brak home, which was recently inaugurated, and over refreshments with the best Shabbat dishes, they heard from Avraham Gross, the girls' father, about the disaster - but also about the magnitude of the miracle that happened to his family.
He praised the activities of the Ihud Hatzalah volunteers, who arrived at the scene within seconds of the call, and thanked them for their great assistance throughout the entire process, until the children were released from the hospital. The father especially emphasized his gratitude to the chairman of Ihud Hatzalah, Ze'ev Kess, who stood by the family throughout the entire process. The chairman of the organization, for his part, spoke about the days he accompanied the family.
Afterwards, with tears in his eyes, the father, along with the organization's management, presented the defibrillators donated with the help of Yonatan Avraham to the volunteers. "I have every hope that the volunteers will save lives with the help of these devices," he said.
Immediately after the distribution of the devices, the organization's management distributed a special New Year's gift to all volunteers, in recognition of their activity, and certificates were also distributed to outstanding volunteers.
The evening concluded with a Komzitz that lasted until the wee hours of the night, accompanied by artists Dodi Feldman, Israel Klatzkin, Pini Einhorn, Robbie Bennett and more.
