Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today (Monday) at a Likud faction meeting, which was closed to the media, that "the reform is not dead, but we are making every effort in dialogue to reach broad agreements.".

MK Danny Danon said at the faction meeting that the coalition representative on the judicial appointment committee must be from the Likud: "With all due respect, the conclusions in the coalition negotiations that were conducted in an amateurish manner regarding the coalition representative on the judicial selection committee were based on the assumption that the coalition would have two MK representatives on the committee.".

""Now, with the understanding that the coalition will have one representative on the committee, it cannot be Ben Gvir's. The representative must be from the Likud. There is a limit to Ben Gvir's blackmail. It is time for the Likud to put him in his place. We need to choose one of the members of the faction who are sitting here and presented their candidacy.".

Earlier, the chairman of the state camp, MK Benny Gantz, spoke at the beginning of his faction's meeting, clarifying that there will be no agreements in the President's Office without a clear commitment from the coalition that there will be no continuation of the legal legislation.

""Despite this bad government, we in the state camp have established five iron principles. Chief among them – non-politicization of the judicial system. No judges, no attorneys, not even gatekeepers. No one will be under political control or exclusive political choice. On the other hand, we are open to any solution that meets the principle. We are indeed willing and want to reach agreements.".

'"I've been hearing talk in recent days about a 'small deal,' a 'big deal,' a 'temporary deal.' I won't go into the proposals being discussed in the room, of course. But one of the principles we set from the very beginning is clear in this context as well: If agreements are reached, there is no Chapter II in the legislation.".

'"I am telling the public here directly and clearly: There will be no agreements, without a strong and clear commitment, that there will be no continuation of legislation that affects the regime in Israel unless there is broad agreement. There will be no open check that will allow Netanyahu to strengthen himself, and to make decisions at a time and place that is convenient for him. The talks will continue, as long as they progress, and as long as there is a desire, and as long as there is a chance. There will be no agreements with Kochvit.".

On the election of the opposition representative to the Judicial Selection Committee - he said: "As you probably know, in the coming days, the process of electing Knesset representatives to the Judicial Selection Committee will begin. This will be a significant touchstone. If the elections are scheduled as scheduled, and if the coalition nominates one candidate from its side and elects one candidate, this is a positive sign. This was agreed upon, and I welcome this and thank the President of the State for his efforts in this regard.".

'"If this doesn't happen - and the coalition chooses two candidates or doesn't bring the representatives to a vote, it means changing the rules of the game during the talks. We said we wouldn't hold talks in the President's office, while in the legislature they are promoting a coup d'état. In such a situation - the talks will be stopped, society will be torn apart, and the country will be harmed. I really hope that the coalition understands this and respects the conclusions. This is in the interest of all of us.".

Yisrael Beiteinu Party Chairman, MK Avigdor Lieberman, addressed the bickering in the opposition over the candidate for the Judicial Appointments Committee: "Unfortunately, what we are seeing in recent hours is child's play, which serves the Netanyahu government. I call on the leaders of the opposition parties to get their act together and start behaving like a real opposition instead of fighting over positions. I suggest that everyone get together immediately and choose an agreed-upon candidate for the Judicial Appointments Committee."
