12 government ministers requested to participate in the central lighting in Meron to be held tonight (Monday), but the security unit led by the Shin Bet did not authorize some of them to participate in the lighting of the Rebbe of Boyan due to security and safety considerations. This was announced this morning (Monday) on the B network.

Among the ministers who submitted a request: Meir Porush, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Haim Biton, Yoav Ben-Tzur, Miri Regev, Yitzhak Waserlauf and Bezalel Smotrich.

The ministers will celebrate at the Bnei Akiva complex, next to the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.

About 200,000 people are expected to arrive for the festivities in Meron starting in the evening and ending on Tuesday night.

This year, a major change was made to the infrastructure and an effort was made to maximize the event and prevent overcrowding.

The ushers will be on hand to facilitate communication between participants and organizers.
