Starting tomorrow at midnight: The obligation to wear masks in medical institutions will be abolished

The Ministry of Health announced today (Tuesday) that starting tomorrow at midnight, the obligation to wear masks in medical institutions and institutions for the protection of fathers and mothers will be abolished. In addition, the obligation to present a corona test for visitors at the entrance to institutions for the protection of fathers and mothers is abolished, after the decision was approved by the Knesset Health Committee. According to the decision: • The obligation to wear masks in medical institutions and institutions for the protection of fathers and mothers is abolished • The obligation to present a corona test for visitors at the entrance to institutions for the protection of fathers and mothers is abolished • The obligation to quarantine at home for those confirmed to have corona continues until 15.5.23 • The obligation to wear a mask on the way to an isolation place (relevant only for those confirmed) continues until 15.5.23 "The Ministry of Health also now recommends that at-risk populations, including those aged 65 and over, wear masks in enclosed spaces in order to protect themselves," the ministry said in a statement.
