Shock: Netanyahu's entire book 'Bibi: My Life Story' leaked to social media

18 days have passed since the publication of the book "Bibi: The Story of My Life" - the autobiography of former Prime Minister and opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu. Since then, the book has managed to sell thousands of copies, while it is approaching - according to sources familiar with the details - the title of "Golden Book" - given to books that have sold 20,000 copies. Recently, due to the high demand, the book, alongside other books such as "The Story of Israeli Politics" by Amit Segal, which also became one of the most sought-after books in the country in a short time. Shivolat Publishing, the publisher of the best-selling book "Bibi: The Story of My Life" written by the former prime minister, is currently facing a nightmare: the entire book has been leaked to social media.

The book, which was published less than three weeks ago, has already sold tens of thousands of copies, but in recent days a PDF file of the full book has been distributed in WhatsApp, Telegram groups, and other social networks, which may harm sales.

According to a report in Mako, the Shivolat publishing house is investigating the matter through the publisher's attorney. The investigation includes collecting screenshots through which they hope to reach the people distributing the book, in order to stop the illegal distribution.

This is a gross copyright violation, which allows the book publisher to sue each of the book's distributors for 100,000 shekels, without proof of damage.

Rotem Sela, publisher of Shivlot Publishing, responded on his Twitter account: "It has come to my attention that there are thieves distributing stolen digital copies of Bibi: My Life Story. If you encounter a dealer in a WhatsApp or Telegram group, please document the distribution and the dealer's details. Those who document will receive 1,000 NIS for each violation that reaches court. The fine, by the way, is 100,000 NIS without proof of damage. Please spread this message.".
