At the Magen David Adom National Command and Control Headquarters, today (Wednesday) Eli Bin, MDA Director General, and Deputy Director of Operations Gil Moshkowitz, hosted the medical advisors of "For You" - the President's Award-winning Chairman Yossi Arblich, the organization's President Prof. Yosef Peres and his deputy Dr. Gadi Neuman, for a special visit - during which they explained to them the wide variety of extensive activities and the comprehensive response that MDA has been providing to all citizens 365 days a year 24/7 for over 90 years, alongside the unique activities during the fight against the coronavirus.
At the beginning of the visit to the center, which is protected from missiles and earthquakes, they were presented with the "Chain of Survival" model developed by MDA, which manages the evacuation process for urgent cases, from the citizen's call through the evacuation to their arrival at the hospital.
The innovative system includes a language translation mechanism, cooperation with Waze, and full synchronization with police forces and firefighters, along with other emergency services, all at the push of a button.

Later, the special means for evacuation in complex terrain events were presented, such as: boats, ATVs, motorcycles, helicopters, jeeps, electric bicycles and an ambulance, as well as a bus in the event of a mass casualty event.
The latest technological innovations developed by the organization were also presented: an innovative application that manages ambulance shifts during routine times and in emergency situations, and an automatic language translation system for the benefit of citizens or tourists who do not speak Hebrew and call for help, and the computerized system that helps locate and allocate resources near the scene of a disaster, such as opening a defibrillator cabinet, and more.
They also presented the community model developed to reduce the burden on hospitals during the Corona period, for non-urgent cases that can be treated at home, in which skilled doctors are active whose goal is to reflect the patient's condition at home to another doctor, and to perform basic tests on him, in order to treat him at home without the need for hospitalization.
MDA leaders presented the new underground blood bank - the first of its kind in the world - built in Kiryat MDA in the city of Ramla, which provides a comprehensive response to the needs of the Israeli medical system and the IDF.
The chairman of the "For You" organization, Rabbi Yossi Arblich, said after the visit: "I know the sacred work of the MDA organization, but during the visit I learned about the size and scope of the activity. MDA plays a critical role in the medical system in Israel and should be allowed to expand its activity, in light of the skill and efficient mechanism it operates, as we all witnessed during the coronavirus pandemic, their work in stressful situations and under great strain, and they deserve every appreciation for that.".
