'Sunfrost announced today (Wednesday) that the company's beans are returning to the shelves, after parts of a mouse, snake, and more were found. A consumer of the company also found an insect in a bag of frozen peas.

Consumer Elad Keren, who purchased the product, told Israel Hayom: "I purchased frozen soft peas yesterday and opened them today. I wanted to prepare lunch today and put the peas in a small soup pot to heat them in the microwave. To my surprise, I saw an insect that looked like a beetle that grew in the fields. I touched it to see if it was in the product - and it was frozen, so that means it came from there. I called the company today and they told me that a public complaints representative would get back to me.".

Keren said that he was not afraid to buy Sunfrost products in light of the recall: "I also had frozen beans, even though those were the recalled products. I had no problem with that. Now I don't know if I'll buy their products anytime soon. It took away my appetite. I thought that because there was a recall and it was in the media, everything was safe, but apparently not.".

Sanefrost responded: "The customer contacted us today. The product will be collected from him tonight and sent for testing. We are in contact with the customer and will update him on the test results.".

Sunfrost announced today that the company's bean products will gradually return to shelves starting tomorrow.

The company stated: "We have carried out a wide series of actions in accordance with the Ministry of Health's guidelines, in addition to consulting with external and internal experts on behalf of the company, which allow it to resume marketing the bean products that were recently discontinued on its own initiative. The company apologizes to its customers and is working to significantly reduce the recurrence of such cases in the future.".

Among the immediate actions taken at the factory, according to Sunfrost, are expanding the number of employees in the manual bean sorting system and improving the factory's quality control processes and core processes, accompanied by a team of external and internal professional experts.

Additionally, an optical sorter will be added to detect foreign bodies in the initial sorting stages.
