About 20,000 women participated last night, the night of Tisha B'Av, in a huge unity gathering held on Zoom - and also broadcast live on YouTube.
The huge gathering, initiated by the organization 'Nefalaot' - women working for unity and bringing hearts closer, was conducted as a long series of TED talks, presented by dozens of opinion leaders and influential women from various circles, including Rebbetzin Yemima Mizrahi, Miriam Peretz, Rachel Bolton, developer of the Te'ezum method, singer Din-Din Aviv, Sharon Adam, Barachi Shilat, media personality Sivan Rahav Meir - and dozens of other women, each of whom brought to the gathering her unifying perspective on Tisha B'Av, the exile, and the unity that will bring about redemption.
The conference was led by Moran Kors, Yael Tzin, and Rachel Festeg. The conference, which was largely conducted in exemplary order, was planned and executed in just a week.
Naama Adler Korel from Nefalot said at the end of the conference, which ended around 3:00 AM - after five and a half hours of broadcasting - that the idea behind the conference was to unite the women into one conference with one message - gathering in love for the battle of redemption. According to her, almost all the women the organizers approached responded positively and with full agreement.
To participate in the conference, those interested had to register in advance due to the limited capacity of the Zoom room. In light of the rapid response that surprised the organizers, it was decided to add additional channels through which the conference could be viewed, the main one being a live broadcast on YouTube, which was watched by nearly two thousand women throughout the conference.
Miri Schneerson, president of the Naflot organization, said she was surprised by the high response and the many responses from the public, both participants and lecturers. She added that "the participation of thousands of women from all walks of life in a unifying event on the very night that commemorates the destruction is evidence that we are close to true and complete redemption.".
Shira, one of the participants in the conference, wrote: "This is the first time I've been to a conference with women of all shades, and from each one I have something to learn, to see how much good there is in all of them. A huge thank you. It helped and strengthened me. There is no doubt that there is a great noise in heaven right now.".
This is one example of the multitude of responses that came during and after the conference, in the wee hours of the night and into the early hours of the morning.
The 'Nefalaot' organization stated that the amazing success indicates an existing need that "must be filled with similar events of love that brings redemption. After all, the cause of the destruction was hatred, and its repair will be done through love and unity among the people of Israel.".
