The suspicion of a terrorist attack in Bnei BrakRabbi Yitzhak Dahan, a yeshiva leader, a 47-year-old resident of Bnei Brak, who was attacked yesterday at 5:30 a.m. by a terrorist while on his way to Shacharit prayer at the yeshiva where he teaches - today (Wednesday), in a conversation with 'Kan News' from his hospital bed - recounted what happened.
""I went down toward Givat Shmuel like every morning for 15 years. I saw someone looking at me. He reached for my bag and I imagined he had something, so I moved away from him. He went down after me and after two seconds I was hit in the head. I grabbed my head and stopped the bleeding," he said.
Rabbi Dahan noted that after the attack, a passerby who called the Magen David Adom told him that the attacker told him to call for help. "After a while, I learned that the person they called himself said, 'There's an injured Jew there, go help him.'".
Dahan was taken to the hospital in serious condition and today his condition has stabilized. A gag order has been placed on the details of the investigation.
