Hamas announced on Saturday that 200 Palestinian terrorists imprisoned in Israeli prisons will begin an indefinite hunger strike starting tomorrow, in protest of the isolation of Ibrahim Hamed, a senior member of the military wing of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. Senior prisoners, including non-Hamas members, including Marwan Barghouti and Ahmed Saadat, will participate in the hunger strike.
After blocking Twitter in Turkey, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan accuses Twitter of tax evasion and says he will bring it to justice. As you may recall, the ability to surf Twitter was blocked after it posted content against Erdogan's government.
French far-right leader Marine Le Pen accused the European Union of declaring a new Cold War on Russia that would harm all concerned. Le Pen, leader of the National Front party, made the remarks during a visit to Moscow.
An official statement published on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website claims that the American government is trying to create a routine of persecuting Russian citizens in third-party countries, so that they can later be extradited to the United States. In the statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry recommends that its citizens not leave the country's borders, in particular not to visit countries that have an extradition agreement with the United States - such as Israel.
