At a routine Shabbat table, the children of singer Avromy Samet from Manchester, England, asked him to explain to them how one can love God more and more. Samet simply explained to them that this is also one of the things one should pray about.
While speaking, Samet stood up and gave his children a tangible example of how to do this, spreading his hands to heaven and from his mouth came the following words: "Heiliger Bashefer Du hast mir gavin, ich zal dir lib haben, (Lord, you have commanded me to love you), Heiliger Bashefer Du hast mir gavin, nar zu dir davenen, (Lord, you have commanded me to pray to you), Heiliger Bashefer Ich bet dir ziyr, helf mir ich zal dir lib haben". (Lord, I ask you to help me to love you).
Samet could not help but compose these special words and give them a delicate and touching interpretation of the words, entrusting the arrangement to musician and arranger Yanki Cohen, alongside a children's song conducted by Moishe Kravis, with all this grace presented in a warm, homely music video that Samet filmed with his children.
