The coalition proposal from the Likud: Likud faction chairman, MK Yariv Levin, submitted a proposal to the coalition leaders in which the parties would agree on a date for elections within a year. This was reported this evening (Tuesday) by Raviv Drucker on Channel 13.
According to the proposal, the election date will be agreed upon between December 2022 and May 2023.
Levin essentially made it clear to the coalition that the government would not be able to survive beyond March 2023, when the budget ends.
According to the proposal, the government will be given another 9 months of rule and an agreement that the opposition will not make it difficult for them in votes in the Knesset.
According to the report, the coalition rejected the proposal outright.
In light of the many problems the prosecution has recently experienced in the Netanyahu trial, the media has once again raised the possibility of a plea bargain.
However, Netanyahu's spokesman said today: "There are and will be no talks about a plea bargain." The prosecutor's office made it clear that they will not initiate any talks.
