Journalist and writer Smadar Shir told her followers on Facebook today (Tuesday) that she miraculously survived a car accident.

""No, this is not the fatal accident on the Arava Highway," Shir wrote under the photo of her crushed vehicle. "It's just a small accident, on the outskirts of the city.

""One driver ran a red light at a hundred kilometers per hour, if not more. And one injured. Me. And that's it, for everyone who asked where I disappeared to. Blessed be the one who redeems. Thank you, the good and the beneficent," she wrote.

The photo, as expected, sparked great concern, and followers rushed to ask for her well-being and wish her complete recovery and health.

She told Israel Hayom: "Last Monday, 7 p.m., Gamzo intersection, I was driving, we were going to a wedding. I turned left on a green light. A crazy driver came from the left, overtook all the cars that were standing there and flew at me on a red light, 100 kilometers per hour, maybe more. There were no brake lights on the road. And that was it.

""The airbags deployed on me, pain all over the left side, from the eye and teeth to the fingertips. A great miracle.".

After the accident, she was hospitalized for tests and released to continue her recovery and convalescence at home.
