Uri Zaki, chairman of the Meretz party executive and husband of Minister Tamar Zandberg, visited today (Thursday) the grave of the Rebbe of Gur, author of "Ha'Amri Emet," whose feast day falls on Shavuot, and of his son, the Rebbe of "Peni Menachem" Gur, who are buried in the courtyard of the Gur Yeshiva in the Geula neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Zaki wrote after the visit on his Twitter account: "My friend Rani told me that not far from the Machane Yehuda market where we were, lies the grave of the Ameri Emet, Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter zt"l, who was the Rebbe of Gur for 43 years, and who moved the center of Hasidism to the Land of Israel. Indeed, Jerusalem always surprises. We respectfully visited this important landmark.".
Journalist Eli Bitan wondered: "Dear Uri, is it possible that your dear friend forgot the grave of the Rebbe of Peni Menachem of Gur, which lies nearby?""
Zaki replied: "God forbid, and not even the copy of the Beit Midrash from Poland.".
Zaki, who leads a traditional lifestyle, puts on tefillin every day.
