She was laid to rest tonight in the cemetery in her hometown.

The late Matanya Ayoubi, 30 years old from Even Shmuel, who was buried tonight in the settlement of Meshuot Yitzhak, left behind three orphans, the youngest of whom is a month old.

An initial investigation into the circumstances of the accident indicates that the truck driver exited a curve and collided with a vehicle standing in traffic, which was thrown from the force of the impact. The truck driver then attempted to stabilize his vehicle, swerved into the oncoming lane, overturned, and crushed two cars.

Four other vehicles tried to escape the collision - and flew into ditches on the side of the road.

Five other people, three elderly women and two young men, including the truck driver, were lightly to moderately injured in the accident.

After the seriously injured man's condition was stabilized, he was transferred to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer in the evening, and this morning it was reported that his condition was still classified as serious but stable.

Two of the three other injured are in mild condition this morning and are expected to be released to their homes during the day.

A fourth injured woman, in moderate condition, is suffering from a chest wound and will remain in the hospital for further treatment, however, her condition has improved.
