Former Justice Minister Haim Ramon commented on his Twitter account about the moving film created by journalist Ayala Hasson with Gal Hirsch - in which he revealed his difficult struggle in the battle for his good name, the fact that his appointment as Commissioner was thwarted, alongside his fight against cancer.

""Ayala Hasson's article about Gal Hirsch should keep every citizen of the State of Israel awake. The way in which Hirsch's appointment to the commission was thwarted by the police and the prosecutor's office, while committing flagrant violations of the law, is horrifying but unfortunately not exceptional," Ramon wrote.
He added: "The law enforcement system will act to thwart, through a criminal case or other means, any person it wishes to harm, and especially anyone it perceives as a threat to it. Only recently did we witness how the prosecution did not hesitate to undermine the credibility of the director of the Pathology Institute, Dr. Chen Kugel, simply because he dared to testify in the Zadorov trial according to his best professional opinion, which contradicts the prosecution's position.".
""And when the police interrogated the members of the Kaduri family on suspicion of murdering the family's parents, the investigators focused their efforts on trying to extract a false confession, and to this end they prevented the mother from breastfeeding her baby, who was crying from hunger.".
He said, "This is the reality we live in. The last thing the police and the prosecutor's office are interested in is investigating the truth. The only thing that is really important to them is preserving their great power. And when the prosecutor's office and the police feel a threat to their power or their image, they will go out and thwart those who stand in their way, and all means are available to do so, including violations of the law.".
Ramon emphasized: "In her article, Gal Hirsch said that the country has gone off the rails. Only a political party that is brave enough to fight against an unbridled system can put the country back on track and protect the human rights of Israeli citizens. This is a difficult task (and also dangerous for elected officials who dare to take it on their shoulders), but it is not an impossible task.".
