According to the rabbi, "one letter Y is enough as the name of God," and therefore from now on the singer's name will not be Eyal - but Eyal.

This is not the first time the singer has changed his name: Eyal was born Eyal Biton and after becoming famous in the 1990s under his stage name Eyal Golan, he added the name Golan to his identity card at the Ministry of the Interior.

The singer revealed the name change in an interview on Didi Harari's radio show, before the holiday.
