150 grams of butter at room temperature
150 grams brown sugar
200 grams self-raising flour
1.5 teaspoon maple syrup
125 grams chocolate chips\cranberries\nuts\berries or any other topping you like
• Line a baking sheet with baking paper and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
• Place the butter in a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon until it softens and has a creamy texture. Add the sugar and continue mixing well.
• Add the maple syrup and continue mixing.
• Add flour (one tablespoon at a time) and mix. The dough comes out better when you work slowly and patiently.
• When we finish mixing the flour, we should have a nice, soft dough.
• Using a spoon, take equal amounts of the dough and place them on the pan in spaces. The dough expands during baking.
• Decorate each cookie with chocolate chips or anything else you like and put in the oven to bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cookies are golden brown.
• After baking, remove the cookies with a spatula and let them cool on a wire rack.
