Tonight, at the age of 38, the young man Chaim Mordechai Levin, a student of the 'Rabbeinu Chaim Ozer' yeshiva, passed away. He was the son of the great Rabbi Avraham Dov Levin, the rabbi of the Jerusalem Beit Din for Property Law and Jewish Studies, on Chai Adam Street in Jerusalem.
Haim Levin, as he was called by his friends, suffered from serious illnesses, and in recent years was confined to a wheelchair.
His parents live in Kiryat Vizhnitz in Bnei Brak.
He asked to come to the yeshiva from time to time in a wheelchair, to study Torah with the members of the group who loved him and cared for his needs. The last time he was at the yeshiva was several months ago.
His friends say that he endured severe and bitter physical and mental suffering for 38 years, but he brightened everyone's day and engaged in Torah study out of sorrow.
His funeral - this morning at 10:30 from the Lederman Synagogue on Rashbam Street in Bnei Brak.
They sit for seven days until the holiday begins at his parents' house, 1 Ahavat Shalom Street in Bnei Brak.
