Yesterday, media figure Yinon Magal, one of Netanyahu's prominent supporters, set up a website to raise funds to finance the opposition leader's legal defense, in the hope that public funding would convince Netanyahu to continue the trial and not sign a plea deal.

As of today, more than 2,591,000 shekels have been donated. The campaign's goal is 5 million shekels.
