Mendi Tzadik, son of the late Rabbi Uriel Tzadik, a Chabad follower among those killed in the 'Meron disaster', testified today (Sunday) before members of the state committee investigating the disaster - and spoke about the difficult moments.
""45 people came to celebrate and left with bags," he criticized the conduct on the mountain. "Because of certain people, the place looks like this, there are people here with blood on their hands. There is a governance problem, they are afraid of extremists.".
He also spoke about the moments in the hours after the disaster. "We ate at Grandma's on Shabbat and tried to understand throughout Shabbat what exactly happened, and on Shabbat night the funeral was held.
""I think my brother, who was with my father during the entire celebration in Meron, was miraculously saved because he went to get something to drink, and that's how his life was saved.".
