Coalition Chairwoman MK Idit Silman, Yamina Faction Chairwoman Nir Orbach, and Knesset members from the Haredi factions have formulated a new outline for subsidizing daycare centers for children of high school students. According to the new outline, which was reported on Channel 7, it is proposed that the cancellation of the subsidy will only apply to high school students over the age of 28. It is unclear whether the outline will be accepted by Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman. Sources involved in the outline told Channel 7 that there is a way to reach an agreed-upon solution regarding daycare centers that will allow all parties to live with it in peace, as they put it. The Finance Ministry was submitted data from the Ministry of Taxation and additional data, with the outline providing a solution for both religious Zionism and the Haredi. The same sources clarify that in any negotiations with the Finance Ministry, the Haredi sector will enter into any arrangement. Currently, both the coalition chairwoman and the Haredi MKs are awaiting answers from the Finance Ministry. On the other hand, the Ministry of Finance says that the issue is with the Ministry of Justice following petitions submitted to the High Court of Justice, and that the Minister of Finance will agree to the outline only for religious Zionism and not for the Haredi sector - an outline that the religious Zionist sector rejects outright. According to the report, MK Silman also refuses to separate the Haredi from the religious public, as Lieberman requests.
