The police located and arrested the suspect this week in the heart of Bnei Brak, riding the stolen scooter. The scooter was returned to its owner. The arrest was made after investigators at the Lev Tel Aviv police station opened an investigation about a week ago upon receiving a complaint regarding the theft of a scooter from the Azrieli Mall in Tel Aviv. The complaint revealed that during a job interview, a restaurant owner at the mall showed the suspect the scooter and explained to him about the working conditions as a delivery person there. However, already during the interview, the suspect stole the scooter, the keys to the scooter - and fled the scene. A few days later, the suspect was located at the corner of Nehemiah-Ezra streets in Bnei Brak, riding the stolen scooter. Police officers at the Bnei Brak police station arrested the suspect, in his 20s, and he was brought for questioning at the police station. He was later brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court for a hearing on extending his detention, and was released under restrictive conditions - including house arrest for 10 days.
