Nahum Barnea, a commentator for Yedioth Ahronoth, claims in his weekly column in the newspaper that criticism of Gilat Bennett and her children's vacation abroad should be directed at Naftali Bennett - for being too quick to call on Israelis not to fly.

The vaccine for children aged 5-11 is recommended by doctors: a special response for parents

It's unimaginable: injury, hunger, and thirst • So how should mice be caught?

Everyone adopts one vaccinated person: Have you already convinced a friend, neighbor, or relative?

In his column in the newspaper, Barnea wrote: "It is to be hoped that Gilat Bennett and her four children are having a good time today at their vacation spot, enjoying the sun, rain or snow - whatever comes. They deserve this freedom, after six months of screaming into loudspeakers in front of the house, cursing on social media and nosy preoccupation with their private lives."

According to Barnea, the anger directed at them misses its target.

"It wasn't the wife who sinned, but the husband. He jumped into action too quickly in the face of news of the new variant: the agility of the response became a value for him, an achievement to be proud of. His call to avoid flying abroad was hasty. After two or three days, the Israelis realized that he had overdone it. Not all Israelis are panicky; not all Israelis are hypochondriacs. We can take the Bennett Scroll as an example.

"As I mentioned here last week, the Prime Minister's wife and children are private citizens. The relationship between them and the state is not regulated. Each person has their own expectations, but I prefer a wife and children who are looking for a place to vacation over a Prime Minister's wife and children who harass media outlets with their demands, run a supply line for gifts, get involved in politics, and abuse domestic workers."

"Yes, Gilat Bennett embarrassed her husband. At that time, we discovered that she had her own opinion and her own will. He will stand by it; I hope we will too."
