Bennett visited the residence, which is a building for preservation and an official property of the state, for a short tour, with the aim of monitoring the progress of the process of preparing the residence for use.

In order to advance the process and begin using the residence according to his needs, Bennett instructed the Director General of the Prime Minister's Office, Yair Pines, to expedite the procedures as much as possible.

Bennett spoke with the relevant professionals and reviewed the renovation plans, which focus on safety, infrastructure, and security aspects, in accordance with the requirements of security agencies.

He instructed to shorten the schedules, so that the renovation, which is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2022, will be completed during that time.

Since the left-wing government was established, Bennett has not used the official residence, and his family continues to live in their private home in Ra'anana.

Following criticism of him, Bennett clarified that due to the fact that his four children are educated in educational institutions in Ra'anana, he does not intend to transfer them to Jerusalem at this stage.
