At the initiative of Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon, the Torah Culture Department is publishing the full schedule of Hanukkah events for the Haredi sector.

This is a wide variety of events and activities tailored to different ages and populations, on a scale and budget that has never been seen before.

Even before the Hanukkah events, a series of "Tsema" events will take place, known for celebrating the 19th of Kislev. This is a unique production, held in a long-standing tradition, in collaboration with the Jerusalem Municipality.

On December 6, the Monday after Hanukkah, two huge performances by the best artists from the sector will be held at the Nation Buildings, which will include a musical featuring well-known singers, a choir, a stand-up show, and mass singing.

On the same day, a closing performance will be held for volunteers from charity organizations and the Tzami'd population and their families, a performance combined with an interactive quiz that will be held for the whole family on Haredi digital media. The event will take place at the Lottery Hall in Pisgat Ze'ev.

Mayor Moshe Leon congratulated those engaged in the complex task of adapting the chain of events to all ages and populations in the sector: "Torah culture in Jerusalem is an inseparable part of the Jerusalem DNA.

""The Jerusalem Municipality under my leadership places considerable emphasis on creating a culture that is kosher and beneficial to the Haredi sector, which needs this culture and deserves it no less than other sectors. I am happy to see the full and rich program of events for Hanukkah and the month of Kislev, and invite the entire Haredi public to come and enjoy what Torah and cultural Jerusalem has to offer.".

The Deputy Director General of the Municipality and Head of the Cultural Department, Ariela Rajwan, said: "There is no doubt that the Torah Culture Department, headed by Pinchas Erlich, succeeds in reaching new heights of professionalism, interest and originality every holiday. Culture in Jerusalem is flourishing, and the Hanukkah events have never been like them. They are part of the rich cultural mosaic that Jerusalem, under the leadership of Mayor Moshe Leon, offers its residents from the Haredi sector. Happy Hanukkah, and don't forget to come and spend time in Jerusalem. We are waiting for you.".
