Network activists Ariel Al-Harar and Yigal Malka went to the Knesset yesterday and met with several Shas MKs. This after the two were exposed in recent days to a disturbing blocking policy on social media by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

Earlier this week, Yigal Malka tweeted on his Twitter account: "Who did you block? Since noon, Ariel Al-Harar and I have been receiving hundreds of inquiries from people who were blocked, high-tech workers, military personnel, medical personnel fighting on the front lines of the coronavirus, bereaved families, people who voted for the right. Who did he not block? Those who participated in the Arab public riots last May! Who are you a hero to, Naftali Bennett?" Ariel Al-Harar then tweeted: "Did you know that thousands of Israeli citizens are blocked by the Prime Minister of Israel? Does this seem logical to you? That an Israeli citizen would be blocked by his own Prime Minister? My friends Yigal Malka and I are not going to remain silent. We will collect hundreds of screenshots of citizens who were blocked and upload this to the Israeli Knesset. If you were also blocked, upload a screenshot in response." Within minutes, the tweets went viral and hundreds of users sent screenshots that were blocked by Naftali Bennett. In addition, the hashtag "Bennett will be released" that the two raised has become a hot topic in the Israeli region in the past 24 hours. MK Michael Malchieli, who was with the two, promised to raise the issue in the plenum and wherever possible. MK Uriel Bosso said that he would submit an urgent motion to settle the matter. MKs Itamar Ben-Gvir and Yinon Azoulay were also attentive to the disturbing issue raised by the two. Attorney Gali Negdai, who was with the two in the Knesset, raised another important point before the MKs that needs to be examined: whether the Prime Minister's social networks and related assets are managed by a public relations budget or as a private account.
