The deceased's family contacted the ZAKA legal department requesting assistance to prevent the postmortem autopsy of the deceased's body - and to release him for burial as soon as possible.

In a hearing held this morning (Sunday) in the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, presided over by Judge Adi Bar-Tal, Attorney Menachem Moshkowitz, chairman of the ZAKA board, represented the deceased's family in a request from the court to release the deceased's body for burial.

Due to the sensitivity of the case and the need to examine the circumstances of the death, the judge ruled that only a spot autopsy should be performed, an examination that will take place in the presence of the Institute's rabbi, Rabbi Asher Landau - and immediately thereafter the body of the deceased will be released for burial today.

Adv. Menachem Moshkowitz, Chairman of the ZAKA Board: "This is a tragic and unfortunate case. From the moment we received the report of the unfortunate incident on Saturday night, we have been standing by the family and assisting in every way possible.".

""Due to the sensitivity of the investigation, the court requested a spot check so as not to harm the sensitive investigation. At its conclusion, we hope that the deceased's body will be released for burial today.".
