Media personality Dr. Avishai Ben-Haim, a commentator on News 13 on Haredi affairs, said today (Sunday) on his Twitter account that his colleague Amnon Levy is boycotting him because of his views.
Under the headline "The Red Book Returns - Article Silencing Journalists," Ben Haim wrote:
""I'm the last one who can complain on stage, but this is an important story for understanding what's happening. Even here, there's one program (Amnon Levy) that openly boycotts, and because of the opinions of one reporter from the news company. Just one, the only reporter who represents the vast public that supports Netanyahu (me).
""God forbid I have any complaints about Amnon Levy or any criticism of him. I have enough onstage.
""But it's still an important story for understanding the overall atmosphere of persecution, which the public has the right to know and I am obliged to mention: Due to expressing an opinion, there is an official boycott of a program on a major channel on the only writer in the system who expresses the position of the hard core of the second Israel that supports Netanyahu.".
He emphasized: "I have no complaints or criticisms of Amnon Levy. I have dedicated an infinite amount of time in my life to learning about oppression, enough time to understand how oppression pushes a Mizrahi like him into a situation where he feels the need to 'excelle' more than everyone else to the exclusion of Mizrahi.".
