Social media was quick to comment on the photos.
Michael Shemesh, the political correspondent for 'Kan News', responded:
'"You can dislike Bennett, think he lied, etc. The fact that the Israeli prime minister wraps himself in a tallit and puts on tefillin in Washington on an official visit (and doesn't eat at a Sheratzim restaurant, etc.) contributes little to the sense of Jewish pride.".
Writer and stand-up comedian Hanoch Daum attached a photo and wrote: "The Israeli prime minister puts on tefillin before a summit meeting with the US president. It moves me.".
Commentator Ben Caspit responded: "Me too.".
MK Vladimir Belyak Mish Atid tweeted: "I am a secular person, but the image of the Israeli Prime Minister putting on tefillin during his visit to the US moves me as a Jew and as a citizen of Israel. Good luck, Mr. Prime Minister.".
On the other hand, there were those who did not forgive Bennett for his lies - and attacked him this time as well.

Avi Rabina of Kol Chai responded: "With one hand, to harm kosher, Shabbat, and the children of the Havrehim. With the other hand, to get excited: 'Jewish pride' from the tefillin hoisted in Washington. I refuse to get excited.".
