Cabinet decisions:

Applying the 'Green Label' outline to all sectors of the economy - Except for shopping malls and commerce.

The green note will apply from the age of 3.. Payment for tests will be made according to the following outline:

• Ages 0-3: Exempt

• Ages 3-12: State-funded testing without limit starting August 18, 2021

• Ages 12 and up: Privately funded testing (only for those who are not vaccinated by choice)

Applying the 'Purple Note' scheme in malls and commercial buildings, by limiting occupancy to one person per 7 meters.

It was also decided to apply the 'Purple Label' outline to workplaces where the public is received. The manner of implementing the outline will be determined after coordination between the Ministries of Finance, Health, and Justice, and will be submitted for approval to the ministers of the Corona Cabinet in a telephone poll.

Restricting gatherings at mass events:

Events without designated seating:

In an enclosed space - up to 1,000 people will be allowed entry.

Events with marked seating - unlimited, according to the green sign.

For couples getting married, this restriction is not a significant one, and it will mainly affect performances.

Restricting gatherings at events in private homes:

In a closed place - up to 50 people

In an open space - up to 100 people

These restrictions will go into effect next Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, the ministers decided to "authorize the Prime Minister, the Minister of Health, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Economy, and the Minister of Innovation and Science to formulate an outline regarding events and celebrations, which will be submitted for approval as soon as possible.".

Regulations were also approved for the implementation of the outline for opening the education system, as agreed upon between the Ministers of Education and Health.

According to News 12, Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli insisted to Education Minister Yifat Shasha Biton that vaccinations should be provided in schools. Other ministers supported her, and Shasha Biton's party chairman, Gideon Saar, suggested that they come to vaccinate at zero hour.

However, the Minister of Education is still opposed.

Minister Elkin voted against the cabinet's decisions. He said the limit of 1,000 inside and 5,000 outside was not enough, in addition to the fact that complexes with regulated seating were excluded.

Elkin also proposed postponing the start of the school year to October, but the Minister of Education opposed it. He estimated that if 40-year-olds are not vaccinated urgently, the cabinet would need to convene as early as next week to discuss the lockdown.
