Radio broadcaster Ron Kofman spoke on his Twitter account about the "HaGomel" blessing he blessed on Shabbat at the Tel Aviv synagogue, after his son suffered a deep cut on his leg from a glass door - and underwent successful surgery.

Kofman tweeted: "This morning, I congratulated 'HaGomel', for my tzaddik who was injured and underwent surgery. "Kifush (- his wife) and I, we had a night of canning that was shaking.".
""In my distress, I read 'Shir HaMa'alot', and I committed to going to synagogue on Shabbat. I arrived at a small synagogue in north Tel Aviv, thanking the worshippers from the bottom of my heart for their help and guidance. Many thanks to the pediatric surgeon at Sheba. You are angels in disguise. Truly.".
In his regular column in Maariv, Kofman spoke about the prayers he prayed during the surgery: "I sat down by the window, opened a phone for prayers that were sent to me. I'm not religious, not at all. I was looking for strength from heaven, because I wanted forgiveness for all my sins, and I had several in my life. I thought to myself, why not for me, why for my child, who is a complete righteous man.".
But apparently they don't let the boy. The Song of Praises. I read with tear-stained eyes. 'I will lift up my eyes to the mountains, from where will my help come? Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord will keep you, the Lord will save you, at your right hand. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from now on and forevermore.'.
Kipush looked silent. 'You are righteous, Mami, God is watching over us. Tomorrow I will report to my sisters and brothers, they will pray for Guy, he will be okay.'.

I just told her: 'Don't tell my mother, my daughters and my sister. I'm asking.' She said it was clear to her, without me asking. Some time passed, well after midnight, and the surgery was successful.
An hour or so later, the righteous man woke up and fell asleep. I pulled a damp cloth from the pouch and cleaned the clotted blood from his other leg, which was not bandaged. Gently, also the soles of his feet and between his toes. I watched him sleep peacefully like a magnificent creature of nature, connected to machines. When a search came out to bring me a snack from the machine, I used the felt to place my palms together at chest height and said out loud: 'Thank you, God, I owe you.'".
