MK Isawi Freij, who is slated to serve as Minister of Regional Development in Bennett's left-wing government, stated today in an interview he gave to publisher Netanel Samrik at Contento Now Studios: "Immediately upon assuming office, I will visit the home of Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen.".

He added: "I'm stopping the neglect of ten years, in which the Palestinians do not exist. If I don't come to visit Abu Mazen, it's as if I'm putting my head in the sand like an ostrich.".

During the interview, Freige sought to clarify: "I am not going to establish a Palestinian state, I am going to his house and honor him with a meeting.".

According to him, "Naftali Bennett would have no problem with such a visit. There is no problem for either Bennett or Lapid.".

Samrik asked Frij: "How will you get a signature on the passport from Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked?"'

To this, the MK responded: "We all in the government want the good of the country. Each from a different angle. I think the good of my country lies in strengthening my neighbors. Not in ignoring my neighbors and humiliating and neglecting them. I want it to be good for me and good for them. I want to create a game, if it's good for the Palestinian - it's good for the Israeli. The WIN-WIN game. When I give hope to the Palestinian problem, I release a lot of pressure in the State of Israel on the Arab minority, who on the one hand want to be 'IN' but on the other hand are throwing me out, 'OUT', in the nation-state law.".
