Joy shook hearts in Shaarei Tzedek: The children's department celebrated a bar mitzvah for a child who survived the Kiryat Tribuna disaster this evening (Thursday) at the new "Heichal Tishim" of the Karlin Courtyard in Givat Ze'ev.

Dreaming of money falling from the sky? Tonight at midnight the safe opens

The celebration is held in the foyer of the children's ward for a 13-year-old boy who is recovering from a serious injury.

The boy, whose life the doctors fought for when he was in immediate danger in the pediatric intensive care unit at Shaare Zedek, was transferred to the pediatric ward, and his health condition is gradually improving.

This evening, the boy reached the age of bar mitzvah and his family, together with the medical center staff, organized a bar mitzvah party for him, accompanied by an orchestra and dancing, with the help of volunteers and friends.

The joy skyrocketed and swept the entire department.

Hearts trembled at the moment when another boy, 12 years old, his roommate, who was also seriously injured in the disaster and hospitalized in very serious condition in the intensive care unit, approached his friend, the happy groom, who was lying in bed, with his wheelchair, extended his hands - and the two danced together with excitement and tears.

Moti Fried, who accompanies the families on Shavuot night: "Anyone who sees these children literally sees the resurrection of the dead. I see the children reaching out to each other and ask myself, am I not dreaming? Are these the children who arrived on Shavuot night in critical condition? We see miracles and wonders and thank God for His grace.".

Dr. Alon Schwartz, director of the trauma unit: "On Shavuot night when we received the children in the trauma unit, their condition was very difficult. We feared for their fate and had to literally fight for their lives. We are happy to see their recovery and hope to see them released and walk safely to their full health.".
