Kobi Greenbaum, a singer and songwriter of the highest caliber, presents a text written by the author of Mesilat Yesharim, Aharon Razel composed the lyrics of Mesilat Yesharim, and together they meet in the studio to sing "Mi Sha'ohev.".
Dreaming of money falling from the sky? Don't miss: The safe opens at midnight
What do you say about white chocolate with cookie crumbs? And what about a tasty snack?
Greenbaum sets the goal and how to reach it: drawing closer to the Creator, in our own way, with the wonderful knowledge that God expects more from us than our expectations of Him.
""Who Loves" is a magical second single, with a sweeping rhythm and pleasing to the ear, combining Greenbaum's Hasidic world with Aharon Razel's polished melodic taste.
Just before the holiday of the Torah, out of love, the two sing about the unmediated connection between the people of Israel and their Creator, as expressed during the giving of the Torah and their selection as God's chosen people. The lyrics of the song are taken from one of the foundational books in Judaism - Mesilat Yesharim by Rabbi Chaim Luzzatto, the Ramchal, and teach what morality is, what love for the Creator is. "He who loves his Creator with true love will not abandon his work for any taste in the world, but his heart will delight in it and desire it...".
The timing of the song's release, the beginning of the restriction days, is no coincidence.
""In my song, I aim above all to bring my brothers and sisters closer to the Creator," Greenbaum explains. "Like during the giving of the Torah, with a spiritual and holy atmosphere that was felt and is felt by every Jew, with the climax coming on the day of the giving of the Torah, a tremendous moment that the people of Israel prepared for and were excited about. For this moment that affects the entire year, and connects us with the infinite love of the Creator, I bless all of us and wish ourselves from the bottom of my heart that we will succeed in rising from the routine to days of holiness, majesty and exaltation, and that my song will touch the hearts of my listeners.".
The new song "Mi Sha'oev" is accompanied by a spectacular music video filmed in Shekiyat Hemda, a synagogue for Caucasian immigrants, Beit Tanchum in Tirat Carmel. The structure, lighting, and sacred decorations blend well with the atmosphere intended by the composer and musical arranger.
