The condition of Elad Barzilai, the 37-year-old who was seriously injured last night (Wednesday) in a lynching by Arab rioters in the city of Acre, is still serious. The Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya reported this morning that after surgery he was transferred to the neurosurgical intensive care unit. Elad Barzilai, a father of four and a teacher at a local high school, was on his way to rescue his students and prevent them from participating in the riots that broke out the day before yesterday in Acre. At the time, police forces and riot police were operating near Egged Square in the city, following a gathering of dozens of Arab rioters who began massively throwing stones at the police. Several of the demonstrators attacked Elad, who was passing by, with sticks and stones - and seriously injured him. Rescue forces called to the scene performed CPR on him and he is being taken to the hospital. His family asks for prayers for his full recovery.
