Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif addressed the sabotage of the underground nuclear facility in Natanz this morning (Monday) and accused Israel of the act.

In a speech he gave in parliament, he said: "Senior political and military officials in Israel said they would not allow progress in lifting sanctions, and now they think they are achieving their goal. But the Zionists will receive a response in the continuation of nuclear progress.".

He told the media: "The Zionists want to take revenge for our success in lifting the oppressive sanctions, but we will not allow this and we will take revenge for these actions, which were carried out by the Zionists themselves.".

According to reports from Iranian news agencies, the country's intelligence services have identified the attacker, but he has not yet been captured.

Earlier, the New York Times reported that two intelligence agents said it would take Iran at least nine months to resume uranium production there.

According to the report, a large explosion caused a power outage in the underground facility, completely destroying the internal and secure electrical system.

The American newspaper quoted American and Israeli intelligence sources who said that Israel was behind the operation.
