93 doctors signed a joint letter of protest, calling for the time being to refrain from administering vaccines to children.
This is against the backdrop of the emergency approval that Pfizer submitted to the FDA on Tuesday for vaccinating children aged 12-15 and the Ministry of Health's preparations to expand the national vaccination campaign.
According to a report on Channel 12, doctors are calling for continuing the vaccination campaign for at-risk populations, and for a return to full routine even without vaccinating children, as at this stage the dangers inherent in the process outweigh the benefits.

The letter sent this morning (Sunday) stated: "Vaccination of at-risk populations should be allowed, and with almost complete vaccination of this population, it is possible to return to a full routine of life (with adjustments from time to time) even in the presence of the COVID-19 virus.".
They added: "We believe that even a handful of children should not be put at risk by mass vaccination against a disease that is not dangerous to them. Furthermore, it cannot be ruled out that vaccination will have long-term negative effects that have not yet been discovered at this time, including on growth, the reproductive system, or fertility. Children should be allowed to return to their normal routine quickly; the multiple tests and wide isolation circles should be stopped, and no separation should be created between vaccinated and unvaccinated people in the public space. Vaccination of at-risk populations should be allowed, and with almost complete vaccination of this population, it is possible to return to a full routine of life (with adjustments from time to time) even in the presence of the COVID-19 virus.".
According to them, "There should be no rush to vaccinate children as long as the full picture is not clear. The coronavirus disease does not endanger children, and the first rule in medicine is 'first, do no harm.' The full picture is expected to be received within many months, and possibly even years. Furthermore, we must wait for such documentation not only from Israeli data but from global data. In this context, it is worth mentioning that 'black box warnings' - warnings about serious or life-threatening side effects - are added months and years after a drug is approved, due to the fact that serious but rare toxicities naturally emerge only over time.".
In the letter, they devoted a separate section to the fact that even today there is still no complete picture of rare and severe side effects, because many of the vaccinated people who suffered from side effects did not report them.
""We believe that our children should be allowed to return to their normal lives immediately, and that they should not be vaccinated against Covid-19," the doctors concluded in their joint letter. "The testing of asymptomatic children, which has no clinical significance but causes widespread indirect harm, should be stopped immediately. The mass isolation cycles in educational settings should be stopped immediately. The public should be reminded that vaccinated people can also become infected and spread the virus, and that the same rules of conduct apply to everyone, regardless of vaccination status. The finger of blame should be stopped towards the unvaccinated, and the violation of individual rights should be stopped immediately. Any kind of exclusion and segregation between people in the public sphere should be stopped immediately.".
