
A one-and-a-half-year-old toddler was burned this evening (Sunday) by boiling water at his home in the city of Elad. His condition is described as moderate.

Rescue forces provided him with medical treatment and referred him to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.
Asher Moskowitz, a paramedic at United Hatzalah: "We provided first aid to a toddler who was burned in his upper body due to boiling water being spilled on him in the kitchen of his home. He was then evacuated in an intensive care unit to continue receiving medical treatment at the hospital.".
Some time later, a 12-year-old boy fell from a height at an Elad playground. His condition is described as moderate.
Rescue forces provided the child with medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital.
Rafi Barkatz, a United Hatzalah medic: "According to passersby, the child injured his head after falling from a fence he climbed while playing on a playground. After the initial aid we gave him, he was taken to the hospital in an intensive care unit in moderate condition.".
Nachman Tobol of the United Hatzalah said that there have been a large number of burn incidents among children and toddlers recently. "It is appropriate and recommended to take safety and cautionary measures to prevent similar incidents. It is also important to make sure that the electrical cord leading to the kettle or electric water heater is also out of reach of children and toddlers.".
