A 20-year-old ultra-Orthodox man from Jerusalem turned himself in today (Sunday) at the police station after throwing a glass bottle at a police officer's head in the Mahane Yehuda market on Purim night. Food stamps: When will they be distributed? Who is eligible for assistance? How much money do you receive? In Israel, speeding is the norm: Why do we drive fast? Following police activity, which included many and varied investigative actions to locate the suspect, the young man turned himself in at the police station and was taken for questioning. A little over a week ago, on the night of Purim, the police officer was attacked while enforcing the offense of alcohol consumption by minors in the alleys of the market. At one point, the police officer spilled alcohol on one of the young men who were present, when suddenly the suspect approached the police officer, threw the glass bottle at him - and then fled the scene.
