The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court today (Sunday) extended by three days the detention of a Haredi, a Jerusalem resident, who recorded himself in a video he posted on TikTok, brandishing a large knife, and threatening to harm people - including senior political commentator Amit Segal. This was reported by Inbar Twizer on Channel 12. The man, a father of children, was arrested today on suspicion of making a murder threat, after uploading a video to TikTok in which he showed off a knife he had purchased, and was heard threatening to murder several people. During the video, he takes the knife out of the packaging, holds it between his teeth and then runs his fingers over the blade of the large knife. The suspect, who is apparently mentally unstable, has been arrested in the past under various circumstances, including violence against various people. After his arrest today, he was brought by the police for a hearing and the court decided, as stated, to extend his detention.
