Shalom Bernholz, 28 years old, has been singing since a young age, loves the profession very much, and if you ask him, he is less attached to the idea of big performances.
""I do not intend at any point to replace my profession as a wedding and celebration singer with being a stage singer. My mission is to make people happy, to make them jump at the event, to feel them up close.".
And yet, from time to time, Shalom enters the studio to record new musical material: "I think the audience needs it and wants it, and therefore - even in the days of Corona, when it is neither profitable nor economical, I will continue to release new material, because my audience asks for it and it makes me feel good to make them happy." Shalom Bernholz, a young and vibrant voice, is on the list of the five most promising young people in the Hasidic music industry in Israel.
Bernholz has previously produced songs and participated in theme albums, but for him, only what is part of the journey towards his personal debut album counts. Thus, a year ago he celebrated a particularly successful single, Time of Joy, followed by the excellent "You Are Close," and last Elul he released "Shima, My Hasidic Prayer." A light touch on every musical genre, and a promise that the debut album will include songs in different styles that will appeal to every listener.
"Am Segula" was first written by Elhanan Elhadad. The process of working on the song brought Eli Klein to him, and together with Shalom, they refined and refined it, and the result is a guaranteed Jewish-Israeli hit.
""It was written and created in the days of Corona, this is a time when morale needs to be raised. We are a people of virtue, this requires us to be happy and optimistic. I definitely connected with this song and my goal is to pass this message on and strengthen my audience." Indeed, the arrangement is refreshing, youthful and bouncy - as befits the circumstances.
