The discussions about the effectiveness and safety of vaccines are also preoccupying the Haredi public: anti-vaccination ads have been distributed in all concentrations of the Haredi public, but rebbes, yeshiva heads, and Torah gurus have been photographed getting vaccinated - and have even called on the Haredi public to get vaccinated. Suffering from a medical problem? Feeling alone? • You can make money from the situation A halachic ruling published today (Wednesday) establishes a clear halachic position on the subject of vaccinations. In a letter published by the rabbi Yitzhak Zilberstein, a member of the Council of Torah Sages of Degel and rabbi of the Ramat Elchanan neighborhood in Bnei Brak, he determined that the risk of vaccination is minimal compared to the many dangers of the coronavirus pandemic. The rabbi issued the ruling after a special discussion he held, with the participation of doctors, on the effectiveness and safety of vaccines and the populations that need to be vaccinated. In the letter, Rabbi Zilberstein also addresses claims against vaccination, but he denies them and states that "governments that have the authority of the court of law should be heard... and in particular, most doctors in the world agree that there is no danger in vaccination." Rabbi Zilberstein determines that the coronavirus is a disease that poses a danger to millions of people. The rabbi concludes his letter with a concluding ruling and says that "my opinion is that the medicine should be taken.".
