In a post published this morning (Thursday) by former Knesset member Moshe Feiglin on his Facebook account, he attacked the government's policy and the Corona Cabinet.
Always happy: There are new flavors you shouldn't miss
""This is a more serious failure than the failure of the Yom Kippur War," he wrote. "The number of dead is already the same, but there, in 1973, the war ended and everyone understood that there had been a failure - the failure of the 'Conception.'.
""The problem is that the Corona cabinet and the decision-makers are blocking any other opinion within themselves. It's like terrorism," he said. "It's forbidden to express a different opinion there. And I know this from the inside - from professionals who sit on committees there. There is no modesty there and no ability to listen to 'whatever happens'.".
He called for a policy of herd immunity. "The doctors I met with are calling for focusing all resources and efforts to protect only the elderly and vulnerable population," he wrote. "This will allow the rest of the population to continue to function fully, to become infected and develop resistance, without any significant morbidity or mortality. In this way: overall mortality will decrease, a devastating economic crisis will be avoided, and the crisis will be expected to end once 'herd immunity' is established.".
Even if there is a vaccine against the coronavirus, Feiglin doubts it. "You'll have to kill me before you stick me with a syringe with this damn vaccine," he wrote.
He added: "I've run out of credit for trolling the closures, the tests, the epidemiological investigations, and the horrific violation of human rights. Please share, and open your friends' eyes too. More to come...""
